Cool! FEB UNDIP Won the 2nd Best Business School in Indonesia in the 2023 Edurank Version

Semarang, Central Java (15/4) – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Diponegoro University (Undip) has made another proud achievement. FEB Undip won 2nd place as the best Business School in Indonesia according to the Edurank version for 2023 which was announced by Edurank on April 14, 2023.

Edurank is an independent international ranking agency in America that measures the performance of universities and faculties around the world. The Edurank measurement method is based on several factors, such as the quality of teaching, research, and the university’s image.

Using a database of 1.24 billion citations from 44.9 million indexed scientific publications, EduRank ranks universities in 13 academic fields with 246 scientific branches. In this ranking, EduRank also adds indicators of non-academic excellence and alumni popularity.

FEB Undip is ranked second as a Business School out of 73 universities in Indonesia with 3,550 publications made and 3,155 citations received. The main research topics in FEB Undip are: Investment Banking and Stock Trading, Accounting, Marketing, Advertising and Human Resource Management.

The first position as the best business school is occupied by the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (UI), while the third and fourth positions are occupied by the Faculty of Economics, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Gunadarma University (Gundar). Then the rest sequentially are Bina Nusantara University (Binus), Airlangga University (Unair), Brawijaya University (UB), SBM ITB, Sebelas Maret University (UNS) and Telkom University (Telkom).

This achievement shows FEB Undip’s commitment to providing quality higher education and contributing to the development of science and the economy in Indonesia. The Dean of FEB Undip, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si conveyed Alhamdulillah and welcomed this achievement. He stated that this achievement could not be separated from the support of the entire FEB Undip academic community. “We are very grateful and proud of this achievement. International recognition is proof of the hard work of all Undip lecturers, staff, students and alumni of FEB. We will continue to strive to improve the quality of education and research at FEB Undip so that we can make a greater contribution to society and the nation,” said Prof. Suharnomo.

This achievement is also proof of the quality of teaching and research at FEB Undip, which continues to strive to develop curriculum and keep up to date with the latest developments in economics and business fields. FEB Undip has various study programs, such as Accounting, Management, and Economics. Not only that, FEB Undip also has adequate supporting facilities, such as libraries, laboratories and research centers and the only campus in Indonesia that has a global standard financial laboratory, namely the Bloomberg Financial Market Laboratory. Apart from that, FEB Undip also collaborates with related companies and agencies to expand the network and improve the quality of teaching. Every year FEB Undip sends more than 200 students who take double degrees and CTS with partners such as Curtin University, Saxion University, MBS in France and various other good campuses in the world.

On the other hand, this ranking is also proof of FEB Undip’s commitment to continue producing quality graduates who are ready to compete in the world of work. FEB Undip continues to improve the quality of teaching and provides opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities that can improve their soft skills. FEB Undip alumni have also proven successful in various fields, both in Indonesia and abroad. They have become successful leaders and entrepreneurs, and have contributed to the development of Indonesia’s business and economy. Some well-known names as alumni are Michael Bambang Hartono, the richest man in Indonesia, ex Minister of Research Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Mohammad Nasir and Director General of Taxes, Suryo Utomo.
