Tuesday, April 18, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering Undip continues to show its quality as one of the leading educational institutions in the field of Engineering in Indonesia. Recently, the Faculty of Engineering Undip was ranked 5th for the Best Engineering College in Indonesia according to Edurank.org.
Edurank.org is an independent ranking agency that uses data from the index of scientific publications and citations as the basis for determining its ranking. This year, the Faculty of Engineering Undip managed to be in the top five positions in Indonesia and was ranked 628th in Asia for universities in the Engineering category.
Not only that, several Departments in the Faculty of Engineering have also achieved quite encouraging achievements. The Faculty of Engineering Undip is the faculty with the best Environmental Engineering in Indonesia, where the Environmental Engineering subject at the Faculty of Engineering Undip is ranked 1st. Then for Transportation Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering is ranked 2nd best in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Structural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are ranked 3rd best in Indonesia.
This impressive achievement was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M, M.Sc, Ph.D. According to him, the achievement of being ranked fifth as the best engineering college in Indonesia is something very extraordinary. For him, FT Undip’s ranking is related to Undip’s ranking as the number one university in the Graduate Employability category in Indonesia. As a faculty at the number one university, it is proper for the Faculty of Engineering to be able to show its quality in competing with other engineering colleges which are older and have been active in the world of engineering education for a longer time.
Prof. Agung advised that the Faculty of Engineering must continue to move in order to maintain this good name. For him, the Faculty of Engineering is now able to achieve this position because of good governance and strong and reliable human resources. “Let’s keep moving, continue to maintain the dignity of the Faculty of Engineering,” said Prof. Agung.
Hopefully with this achievement, the Faculty of Engineering can improve the quality of its education and research so that it can become the best engineering college in Indonesia.
