Diponegoro University students have made international achievements in every level. On April 27 – May 1, 2023, students who are members of the Smart Material Research Center (Smarc) team participated in the Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF) and were awarded a Bronze Medal in the Medical Materials Engineering Research category. ISIF itself is the oldest and largest technology exhibition in Turkey since 2016 whose annual event is attended by more than 50 countries that send their best works.
The event organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TURKPATENT) provided an opportunity for students to show their innovations in science and technology. This prestigious event with an international scale is a place for students to convey their innovations in the field of science and technology. The purpose of this event is to attract innovations with the latest innovations. Participants who attended included those from universities, research institutions, individuals, to companies from various parts of the world.
In this global event, Bryant Andhika Prayoga (S1 Student in Chemistry 2020), Rosyadatul Khoiriyah (S1 Student in Physics 2020), and Avita Khilyatu Hafni (S1 Student in Physics 2020 – Team Leader) represented the team consisting of Bryant Andhika P, Abdurrahman Zakki, Brainy Happy Ana T, Roni Adi Wijaya, Rosydatul Khoiriyah, Idhiyani Murounaky, and Aura Herdi R Sutanto (General Medicine Undip) presented a scientific theme entitled “Radiosprotector Innovation for Eye and Genital Lens Based on Silicone Rubber-Lead (SR-Pb) as A Solution for Radio Therapy Side Effects” guided by Prof. Dr. Heri Sutanto, S.Si., M.Si., F.Med. They presented an effective method for treating cancer cells, kidney, genital and organ Computational Tomography Scanner (CT scan).
