Collaboration with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering UNDIP: In line with the Vision and Mission as an International Standard Excellent Campus

The Faculty of Engineering cooperates with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE). The signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement was held at the Engineering Hall, 5th floor of Dean Building, Wednesday (31/5).

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., and Senior Manager for Asset Exploration in the Eastern Region of PT PHE, Arie Naskawan, are present at this event.

The signing of this cooperation agreement is the result of a collaborative effort that had previously been underway between Geology Engineering Undip and PT PHE, where Geology Engineering Undip had the opportunity to conduct research related to the development of new oil and gas mining blocks in Tarakan and Kutai. The intention of this cooperation agreement is as an effort to legalize cooperation that covers research and other fields, such as educational cooperation and community service.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., welcomed this collaboration. According to him, this collaboration aligns with the vision and mission of the Faculty of Engineering Undip as an excellent campus based on international standard research. As an international-scale company, PT PHE is one of the leading partners in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering. “The signing of this collaboration follows our vision and mission as a research-based and international-standard superior campus. As an international company, PT PHE is a suitable partner for us,” said Prof. Agung.

He hopes that the collaboration between PT PHE and the Faculty of Engineering Undip will not only stop research related to the development of mining areas in the Tarakan and Kutai Basins but can also continue in other directions, especially those related to education and the needs of the Faculty of Engineering academic community, such as apprenticeship through MBKM. “I hope this collaboration can enrich lecturers’ knowledge so that their work is good, they gain more knowledge, and their students can update their knowledge,” he concluded.
