UNDIP Karate Contingent Won 9 Gold in the International Karate Championship “The 2023 Yogyakarta Open Tournament III″

The Diponegoro University (Undip) Karate Team won a brilliant achievement. The Undip Karate Team, represented by UKMF Martial Arts Faculty of Law (FH) Undip, won 9 (nine) gold medals at the International Karate Championship “The 2023 Yogyakarta Open Tournament III,” which was held from 11 to 13 August 2023 at the Amongraga Sports Hall in Yogyakarta.

The karateka from the Faculty of Law Undip won 9 (nine) gold medals, including Firman Maulana (2023) in the Male Senior Kata category; Anindita Fauziah (2023) in the category of Student Kumite -61 Kg Women and Senior Women’s Kumite -61 Kg; and Annisa Ozora (2023) in the categories of Individual Female Senior Women and Individual Black Belt Female Students.

Furthermore, M. Qeeshan Satria (2023) in the Student Kumite category +84 Kg; Qurrotul Ainirrizqi (2023) in the category of Individual Words of Brown Belt Female Students; Tashal Hafiz (2023) in the Student Kumite category +84 Kg; and Rizkiando Carlos (2022) in the -75 Kg Student Kumite category.

This achievement presented by Karateka FH Undip is undoubtedly something to be proud of for the Faculty of Law and Diponegoro University. Thousands of people attended this international-level championship from within and outside the country.

The International Karate Championship “The 2023 Yogyakarta Open Tournament III” is one of the efforts to foster and develop the sport of karate so that it can give birth to new athletes who are the gems of Indonesia.
