Central Java- In a warm international friendship and academic collaboration, students who received Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) scholarships from Diponegoro University (Undip) in 2023 gave souvenirs to their hosts at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) in Taiwan ( 09/15).
The IISMA program is one of the programs launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), which facilitates cultural exchange and aims to broaden views and increase global perspectives for Indonesian students when studying abroad. On the other hand, this program also focuses on illustrating the power of education without looking at geographical boundaries and building bridges of cross-cultural knowledge.
On one occasion, an IISMA awardee from Undip, Faalih Asyrof (Automation Engineering Study Program, Vocational School), gave souvenirs to NPUST as a form of synergy between the two parties. Apart from that, this souvenir symbolizes strengthening relations between the two institutions. This souvenir was warmly received on behalf of the NPUST International Office.
Head of the Undip International Affairs Office (KUI), Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D. hopes this symbolic gift can be a good start in collaboration with NPUST in the educational sector and cultural aspect. “Hopefully, this symbolic gift can be a good start for sustainable relations between Undip and NPUST, both now and in the future,” she said.
