KKN UNDIP Students Invited Gerbang Makmur Residents to Activate BUMDes

Employees of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Gerbang Makmur gathered to take part in training with the Diponegoro University KKN II Team on Sunday (30/07/2023) in Karangmalang Village. This training activity was carried out to provide an essential understanding of motivation to all BUMDes administrators and members, with the hope of raising enthusiasm and reviving BUMDes, which is currently inactive.

The condition of the BUMDes of Gerbang Makmur, Karangmalang Village, which is currently not operating, is what inspired Devi Agustina Widyastuti, a student of the KKN II Team at Diponegoro University, to hold a socialization on the importance of work motivation for the administrators and members of the BUMDes Gerbang Makmur. Despite being a potential source for improving the village economy, BUMDes has stalled in its development due to various obstacles faced. Mrs. Sri Hartuti, chairman of BUMDes Gerbang Makmur, expressed her desire to see BUMDes active again and provide maximum benefits for village communities. However, she realized that the challenges took work. She also understood that high enthusiasm and motivation are the primary keys to overcoming all these obstacles.

For this reason, the material presented in the training motivation is designed to be relevant to the conditions of BUMDes Gerbang Makmur. One of the materials presented was about the importance of having clear goals and vision in managing BUMDes. By having clear goals, all BUMDes members can move in the same direction and contribute optimally. Material was also presented on how to foster motivation in each individual so that they are increasingly encouraged to reactivate BUMDes.

After the presentation, a sharing session continued. The chairman and administrators of BUMDes enthusiastically expressed their desire to revive BUMDes. They asked about the right strategy to overcome the obstacles faced, as well as how to involve the community in BUMDes actively.

At the end of the event, Mrs. Sri Hartuti, chairman of the BUMDes Gerbang Makmur Karangmalang Village, thanked the committee for this activity. She hopes that what has been conveyed can be an initial milestone to raise enthusiasm and further strengthen the team at BUMDes Gerbang Makmur.

In facing ever-growing economic and social challenges, high enthusiasm and motivation are the main assets in realizing positive change. With new enthusiasm, BUMDes Gerbang Makmur Karangmalang Village is ready to develop and provide tangible benefits to the village community. This training motivation will be the beginning of a new era for BUMDes and can inspire other villages to continue moving forward and be competitive.
