Excellent! 6 UNDIP Researchers Enter Top 2% of the 2023 Scientists Worldwide

Semarang-Central Java (15/10). Diponegoro University has once again made achievements and established itself as an excellent and classy research university. It is proven that 6 (six) Undip researchers are included in the ranks of world researchers in the 2023 Top 2 Percent Scientists Worldwide published by Stanford University and Elsevier. The publicly available database contains the most cited scientists providing standard information on citations, h-index, hm-index adjusted for co-authors, authorities to papers with different authorship positions, and combined indicators (c-scores).

John PA Ioannidis of Stanford University wrote the list of the top 2 percent of scientists in the world. This edition is the fifth edition of the article “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators,” published by Elsevier on October 4, 2023.

The database groups scientists into 22 scientific fields and 174 scientific subfields based on the standard Science-Metrix classification. Selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists based on c-scores (with and without self-citations) or percentile rankings of two percent or more in a given subfield.

The six Undip researchers who are included in the ranks of world researchers in the 2023 Top 2 Percent Scientists Worldwide are Prof. Sugiharto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D. from the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences with the sub-field Dairy and Animal Science; Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiyanto, S.T., M.Sc., IPU from the Faculty of Engineering with the sub-field of Environmental Sciences; Ir. Joko Mariyono, M.P., Ph.D. from the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences with the sub-field of Business and Management; Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T. from the Faculty of Engineering with the sub-field of Materials; Dr. Eng. Achmad Widodo, S.T., M.T. from the Faculty of Engineering with the sub-field of Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing; and Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T., M.T. from the Faculty of Engineering with the sub-field of Mechanical Engineering and Transports.

Being one of the researchers included in the ranks of world researchers in the 2023 Top 2 Percent Scientists Worldwide, Prof. Jamari, as Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Undip, expressed joy in the international recognition from the international institution Elsevier, an academic publishing company from the Netherlands that focuses on scientific, technical, and health content. Furthermore, Prof. Jamari said that Undip is currently entering phase V (2020-2024) of strengthening research universities, which continues to encourage researchers to carry out research that is published in highly reputable national and international journals. Furthermore, this research has an impact on the benefits of society and the progress of the nation. (Ut-Public Relations)
