“During approximately 4 years of studying at Diponegoro University, I learned many new things, both academic and non-academic. I am grateful to Undip, especially the Industrial Engineering Department, which has given me the opportunity to gain knowledge and supported me with adequate facilities to study and develop myself. At the same time, I was a student,” said Sheila Syifa Salsabila, a graduate at Undip’s 172nd graduation ceremony from the Faculty of Engineering.
Apart from being busy studying, the graduate, who earned a GPA of 3.73, was also an assistant in the Decision Support Systems Laboratory. She also participated in organizations that operate in the field of event creation for prospective students, independent campus studies held by the Ministry of Education and Culture, committees, training and internships. She also joined a community that worked in the field of developing children’s education and character and took part in competitions at provincial, national and international levels.
She also earned many achievements, including Gold Medal and Special Award from MIICA in the World Invention Competition and Exhibition (WICE); Gold Medal World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE); Silver Medal International Invention Competition for Young Muslim Scientists (IICYMS); Bronze Medal and special award from the Saudi Arabian Masaei Charitable Association at the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF); Bronze Medal in the 6th International Avicenna Youth Science Fair; 3rd Place in the OLIMIPADE Essay Competition; 3rd Place in the Industrial Business Plan Competition in 2020 and 2022; 3rd Place in PKM-PI PIM Undip; 2021 HPM Funding; and 2022 PMW funding.
“Education and organization are important for the future. Through education, we gain knowledge and skills that are useful for life, increase potential and talents, and form good character and attitudes. Meanwhile, being a part of an organization is the process of participating in a group that has the same goals, vision and mission so that you can gain experience and a broad network and learn about leadership, cooperation, communication and responsibility. Education and organizations complement and support each other, which can help face current and future challenges and opportunities,” said Sheila. (LW-Public Relations)
