Undip Antawirya Hexa Team Won Champion in 2 Categories at the 2023 KMHE

Undip Antawirya Hexa Team took part in the national level championship held by the National Achievement Center, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, which was held at the Ancol Carnaval Circuit (Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit), Jakarta on 28 October-3 November 2023. The Energy Saving Car Contest (KMHE) was attended by 60 energy-saving car teams from various universities in Indonesia.

This championship consists of 2 categories, namely, the urban category and the prototype category. The urban category consists of the sub-categories of urban gasoline, urban ethanol, urban diesel and urban electric. Meanwhile, the prototype category has 4 sub-categories, namely battery-electric prototypes, ethanol prototypes, diesel prototypes, and gasoline prototypes.

The Antawirya team took part in the championship in the urban gasoline and battery-electric prototype categories. For the Urban Gasoline category, Gentayu, the name of our car, succeeded in achieving a fuel efficiency of 303.73 Km/L on the first attempt. Then, in the second attempt, Gentayu succeeded in achieving a fuel efficiency of 342.47 Km/L, and in the third attempt, Gentayu succeeded in achieving a best score of 357.79 Km/L. With high fuel efficiency, Gentayu won 3rd place in the Urban Gasoline category.

For Rondhan, the battery-electric prototype, which was only made in early January 2023, managed to score the highest figure in approximately just 11 months. In its first attempt, Rondhan succeeded in achieving a battery efficiency of 768.06 Km/kWh. In the second attempt, Rondhan succeeded in achieving a battery efficiency of 799.80 Km/kWh, and the figure continued to increase in the third attempt, namely 873.011 Km/kWh. With this entirely satisfactory number, Rondhan managed to win 2nd place.

Of course, both Gentayu and Rondhan managed to increase their efficiency figures significantly from the previous championship, namely the 2023 Shell Eco-Marathon Asia Pacific and The Middle East, which was held last July.

“We are grateful, and we are determined to continue to improve the efficiency of our cars so that we don’t just take part in the championship, but can implement it for our beloved country Indonesia,” explained General Manager of Antawirya, Vinsensius Farel.

The Diponegoro University Antawirya Team took part in the 2023 Energy Saving Car Contest event and won in 2 categories, namely 2nd place in the Prototype Battery-Electric category and 3rd place in the Urban Concept Internal Combustion Engine category.
