A Healthy Walk Enlivened the Peak of Faculty of Engineering UNDIP’s 65th Anniversary Celebration

Friday, December 1, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University, held a Healthy Walk event. The event, which was attended by all members of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, was carried out as the peak of a series of events for the 65th Anniversary of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, which has been taking place since last October.

At the 65th Anniversary celebration, the Faculty of Engineering Undip held various exciting events that were beneficial for both residents and the faculty’s community. From October to early December, the Faculty of Engineering Undip successfully held events such as a Video Contest about Integrity Zones, Selection of Outstanding Staff, Selection of Outstanding Young Lecturers, Joint Gymnastics, Career Seminar with BEM FT Undip, National Seminar on energy transition with ERIC UGM, Alumni Gathering Ben Connect, Inauguration of the Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo, M.Sc. Building, Engineering Festival with BEM FT Undip, Undip Career Days job fair, Public Lecture on Green Infrastructure, Electric Vehicle Seminar with Antawirya Undip, and English Competition for Staff.

In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M, M.Sc., Ph.D., is grateful that the 65th Anniversary celebration went well this time. For him, the anniversary celebration signifies how far the Faculty of Engineering Undip has struggled to reach the point it is now. He hopes that in the future, the Faculty of Engineering can be even better. “Hopefully, if Allah is willing, the Faculty of Engineering can be even more prosperous and better in the future,” he said.

Chair of the 65th Anniversary of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, Ir. Ari Eko Widyantoro, S.T, M.Si, IPM, thanked all parties involved, including the academic community, alumni and staff who worked hand in hand in making the series of Anniversary events of the Faculty of Engineering Undip a success this time. According to him, the implementation of this Anniversary event was the result of synergy between alumni, industry and the Faculty of Engineering. “Thank you to the industry who provided sponsors, the alumni who participated in their support, and the academic community who synergized with each other so that this Anniversary event could run well,” he said.

Apart from performances and prizes, at this Healthy Walk event, the Faculty of Engineering also handed over a set of energy conservation tools to the Department of Electrical Engineering and waste processing tools to the Engineering Waste Bank Center. The assistance is a form of commitment from the Faculty of Engineering Undip in supporting one of the points of the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB), namely sustainable energy.

Naomi Kristin, a student at the Faculty of Engineering and also a Healthy Walk participant, admitted that she was happy with this series of anniversary events. As a student, she hopes that the Faculty of Engineering can be even better in the future. “Hopefully, the Faculty of Engineering will be much better so that I can study well here and graduate on time,” she said.

At the Healthy Walk event, the Faculty of Engineering handed over waste processing and energy conservation equipment to support sustainable energy.
