A Total of 6,158 UNDIP Students Successfully Completed the KKN Program

A total of 6,158 students from the Community Service (Kuliah Kerja Nyata – KKN) Team II of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) for the Academic Year 2022/2023 have been back from their KKN locations. The Welcoming Ceremony for the KKN students was held at the Undip Stadium on Tuesday (22/8). The event began with entertainment provided by KKN students from Klaten Regency, including a song performance by Indira Pramesti from the Medicine study program and a traditional Javanese horse dance (kuda lumping) performance.

Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H, M.Hum., emphasized that the Community Service Program is a process of problem-solving and self-maturation. These processes teach integrity, honesty, caring, and not merely image-building.

“Welcome back, our UNDIP KKN students; we are grateful for your return in good health. Continue to develop your skills and abilities for progress,” he said.

“With the completion of the Community Service Program, students can immediately finish their studies smoothly and quickly find jobs,” Prof. Yos added.

The Rector also encouraged students not to hesitate to discuss serious issues with their deans at their faculties. He highlighted the importance of maintaining integrity and adhering to religious norms.

Meanwhile, in his report, the Head of the Community Service Center (Pusat Pelayanan Kuliah Kerja Nyata – P2KKN) at UNDIP’s Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Kurniawan Teguh Martono, S.T., M.T., mentioned that the KKN locations covered various regencies, including Brebes, Tegal, Pemalang, Pekalongan, Batang, Pati, Boyolali, Klaten, Sukoharjo, Sragen, and Wonogiri. Some KKN activities collaborated with other institutions, such as the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) for the stunting prevention program in 10 regencies, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for the Socio-Economic Infrastructure Development Program in Sragen Regency, and the Central Java Regional Police with the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for the anti-illegal cigarette campaign.
