UNDIP Civil Engineering Realizes Collaboration Research with German Researchers

In order to realize its vision of becoming an excellent research university, Diponegoro University collaborates with Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden), Germany. Through the Visiting Professor program, which is one of the world-class university programs, Undip successfully invited Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Michael Kaliske from the Institut für Statik und Dynamik der Tragwerke (Institute for Structural Analysis) at TU Dresden to carry out various activities, including the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Undip and TU Dresden, Guest Lectures, and presentation of the progress of the PDUPT (BIMA) research project as a partner.

The Head of the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) Undip Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T., M.T., the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., and the Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Undip, Prof. Jati Utomo Dwi Hatmoko, S.T., M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D. warmly welcomed Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Michael Kaliske in the WCU Visiting Professor program. Undip representatives hope that the collaboration with TU Dresden is not limited to civil engineering research but can extend to various disciplines and activities. On that occasion, a MoA was also signed by Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Michael Kaliske and Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., both of whom also discussed the discourse of the next cooperation program with TU Dresden.

On that occasion, the Head of the Civil Engineering undergraduate study program, Prof. Bagus Hario Setiadji, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., was also present at the event. He presented the International Undergraduate Program at Undip, which is expected to also engage in collaborative activities with TU Dresden. Not only limited to research cooperation, Undip will also recommend its best alums to pursue further studies at TU Dresden and provide opportunities for lecturers to participate in a one-month sabbatical program at TU Dresden to deepen research and scientific publications.
