The delegation team from Diponegoro University (Undip) successfully achieved the Gold Award at the 2023 Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF). The event, organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), took place in Seoul from November 1st to 4th, 2023.
The Seoul International Invention Fair featured 684 inventions from 26 countries, including Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, UAE, Poland, Croatia, Iran, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Qatar, Morocco, and South Korea.
Under the guidance of dr. Galih Sari Damayanti, SpDV., FINSDV, the BRACTS Team comprising Febryan Fadhil Kresnantio, Narendra Lintang Mahadewa, Rizki Noval Nursyafillah, Alfa Sofia Fany, Nindy Haya, and David Jonathan Gleneagles Siahaan emerged as one of the Indonesian teams to receive the Gold Prize.
The team presented an innovative product titled BRACTS (Shallots and Butterfly Pea Sunscreen Cream), a natural sunscreen designed to prevent the adverse effects of ultraviolet rays from the sun, suitable for daily use.
“What we have achieved is the result of excellent teamwork. Also, the guidance and direction from our supervising lecturer, Dr. Galih Sari Damayanti, SpDV, FINSDV. We believe our product can be a solution in protecting sunscreens based on natural ingredients from nature that can shield the skin from sunburn,” said Febryan Fadhil Kresnantio, the team leader of BRACTS from Diponegoro University.
