Entrepreneurship is the pivot as a strategic economic driver in a country, as written in Presidential Regulation Number 2 of 2022 on the National Entrepreneurship Development, aiming to reach a 3,95% entrepreneurship ratio in 2024.
Diponegoro University (Undip), with a mission to produce COMPLETE (Communicator, Professional Leader, Thinker, Entrepreneur, and Educator) graduates, is preparing students with essential soft skills, one of which is entrepreneurship through the Student Entrepreneurship Development Socialization Program (P2MW) 2024, held on Tuesday, February 20th 2024 in Prof. Soedarto SH Building, Undip Tembalang. P2MW focuses on students’ entrepreneurship skills and enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem within the university by building an innovative entrepreneurial character that can hold Business and Industrial World (DUDI) sustainability.
The Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., officially commenced P2MW 2024. “Creativity is essential, whether it is entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship. We need innovation and creativity. Students must nurture character and competence,” said Prof. Suharnomo.
P2MW Undip featured two speakers, Narulita Santi, S.T., M.Eng. (Lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering Undip) and Anjani Tri Fatharini, S.IP., M.A. (Lecturer of the FISIP Undip).
With a theme of “Socialization of the 2024 P2MW Guidebook”, Narulita Santi, S.T., M.Eng. stated that the participants of P2MW are the active undergraduate students enrolled in PDDIKTI, with a maximum of semester 7 when submitting the proposal. The students must augment the proposed products. “The categories of P2MW products include food and beverage; cultivation; creative industry; arts and culture; services, trade, and tourism; manufacture and applied technology; and digital business,” stated Narulita.
The second speaker, Anjani Tri Fatharini, S.IP., M.A., explained “How to Register as a Chairperson for P2MW 2024.” Students can only participate in one program from P2MW, the Student Organization Development Program (PPK Ormawa), or the Student Creativity Program (PKM). Participants must register their student accounts on the website https://kesejahteraan.kemdikbud.go.id/p2mw and ensure all required data and documents are complete.
The selection process for P2MW 2024 includes two stages: Internal University Selection and Directorate of Belmawa Selection. All evaluation activities and proposals are carried out through the SIM Kesejahteraan. If successful, the allocation of funding assistance for P2MW 2024 is provided based on Management and Student Business Group criteria.
