Diponegoro University (Undip) continues to be committed to improving the welfare of its students. It starts with the food truck program that runs regularly every Monday through Thursday. The program is followed by the next program, where Undip collaborates with Bank Mandiri to distribute 1800 sets of toiletries for students.
The toiletries were distributed concurrently with the food truck program for students held on Monday (4/3). The food truck program, which distributes free meals to students, has been running since 2022. Meanwhile, the provision of toiletries for Undip students is one form of good partnership realization between Diponegoro University and Bank Mandiri.
The distribution of toiletries packages was carried out at several points, namely at the Student Center, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Hall, SA-MWA Building Courtyard, Imam Barjo Pleburan Campus Hall, Jepara Campus, Pekalongan Campus, Batang Campus, and Rembang Campus.
In his speech at the Handover Ceremony of Toiletries Packages held at the Student Center, Undip Tembalang Campus on Monday (4/3), Undip Rector Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., stated that providing assistance such as distributing free meals or food truck programs for students and also distributing toiletries packages is one form of affection given by Undip to its students.
“Because affection is within the spirit of Undip. Our teachers teach us about affection. Affection is greater and more meaningful. Affection respects and protects,” said Prof. Yos.
A representative from Bank Mandiri, Tinno Susilo, sees that the current movement Undip is undertaking is something worth supporting. “The free meal program for students is a unique and highly beneficial program for students. Supporting Undip’s program to improve the welfare of students, Bank Mandiri adds to it by assisting, namely distributing toiletries with the hope that students will be healthier and more prosperous,” said Tinno Susilo, Regional CEO of Bank Mandiri for Central Java – DIY.
To obtain toiletries packages, students must register through a form on SSO and choose the desired pickup location. After completing the data, students will receive a barcode which they show to the food truck distribution personnel at the intended location. The personnel will scan the barcode and the students will be recorded as having collected their items.
The provision of toiletries packages is Undip’s commitment to always paying attention to the welfare, cleanliness, and health of students. Toiletries packages assistance is scheduled to be distributed once a month, using pickup techniques similar to the food truck program. Health and cleanliness are essential aspects of supporting the quality of student life.
With the provision of toiletries packages every month, Undip hopes to ensure that students have access to essential basic needs because cleanliness is not only a physical issue but also closely related to mental well-being and daily life comfort. (Hng ed.Ut-Public Relations)
