LPDP Awardee Student Carried Out Intensive TOEFL Course at the Faculty of Humanities UNDIP

The Intensive TOEFL ITP preparation language enrichment program is the realization of a partnership between the Education Fund Management Agency (LPDP) of the Republic of Indonesia and the Faculty of Humanities (FIB) of Diponegoro University, established in late 2019. In 2023, the Faculty of Humanities received 73 LPDP scholarship recipients to participate in a three-month TOEFL course.

This number was then divided into three learning classes. After completing the course, participants are expected to achieve the minimum TOEFL score required by their respective study destination universities. The opening session on Friday, August 25, 2023, was attended by LPDP leadership and representatives from the Faculty of Humanities. The opening activities began with a report and welcome speech from the LPDP Undip TOEFL Course coordinator, Rifka Pratama, S.Hum., M.A. He expressed his hope that participants in the TOEFL Course at FIB Undip could maximize their learning sessions by actively engaging in discussions with their instructors.

The agenda was followed by a speech from the Head of the LPDP PKPB subdivision, Pramwidya Mazmur Novia. In her remarks, she conveyed that LPDP entrusted the scholarship recipients to the Faculty of Humanities and hoped the participants could diligently undergo the course. As the main symbolic opening event, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Undip, Dr. Nurhayati, M.Hum., accompanied by the leaders of the Faculty of Humanities and LPDP representatives, handed over the learning modules to the representatives of the course participants.

The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Undip advised all participants to explore the knowledge taught by the course tutors. Additionally, the Dean expressed gratitude to LPDP for their trust in sending the participants to the Faculty of Humanities Undip.
