Thank you for teaching life lessons to us and serving as examples in maintaining integrity as educators and demonstrating humility in daily life,” said Prof. Yos.

According to Prof. Yos, this academic ceremony is a new tradition that represents the highest honor from UNDIP to the retiring professors as civil servants. This honor is given in recognition of the services and dedication of the retired professors throughout their tenure in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education at UNDIP.

“Purna Adi Cendekia is also a manifestation of UNDIP’s courtesy in honoring elders, especially those who have contributed to the development of UNDIP. Mikul Duwur Tambah duwur, Mendem Jero Sansaya Jero,” he explained.

The beneficial knowledge imparted by the professors to the students has greatly helped solve various problems in the country. Retirement as a civil servant is merely a positional limitation, but beyond that, post-retirement opens up broader fields of dedication to the nation, country, and religion.

“Insyaallah, all the beneficial knowledge that the professors have imparted will become a continuous charity that will continue to flow rewards for the professors. UNDIP also expresses gratitude to the families of the retired professors for their role in maintaining the status of UNDIP professors and upholding good integrity. UNDIP firmly believes that family is the fortress protecting the values of goodness that will be the main pillar of UNDIP’s success nationally and internationally,” added Prof. Yos.

Meanwhile, Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed gratitude for the dedication given so far. “To the retired professors, we express our appreciation and congratulations on enjoying retirement as part of the process of life. Hopefully, always be happy with family and bestowed blessings by Allah SWT, as well as health, safety, happiness, and a blessed long life,” said Prof. Suharnomo.

“To the families of the deceased retired professors, our prayers to Allah SWT, may He accept their good deeds and place them in His paradise, and may He forgive their sins and mistakes,” said Prof. Suharnomo.
