UNDIP’s Urban and Regional Planning Students Win 1st Place in FESTAGAMA 12.0 Scientific Writing

A team of students from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (PWK) at the Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University (UNDIP), won 1st place in the Scientific Writing Competition at the FESTAGAMA 12.0 competition held by Gadjah Mada University’s Urban and Regional Planning Department on June 8-9, 2024.

The UNDIP’s Urban and Regional Planning student team, consisting of Dede Suhendar, Ummu Kaltsum Taherdito, and Daru Gurit Utami, presented a scientific paper titled “The ABC Paradigm (Ability, Barrier-Free, Community) Concept Towards Inclusive Urban Public Spaces as a Support for Smart City in Semarang.”

The scientific writing competition was one of the events in the FESTAGAMA 12.0 series. In addition, the event, themed “Linimasa Kota Kita” (Our City Timeline), included various activities such as the City Contest, which featured photography, essay, and scientific writing competitions; Tarka Kota, which included a national seminar; Pentas Kota, presented as an educational exhibition; and Sorak Kota, the event’s closing ceremony.

Under the guidance of lecturer Novia Sari Ristianti, S.T., M.T., the UNDIP’s Urban and Regional Planning student team outperformed 30 other participants in the competition.

The team’s compelling concept and high-quality work made the UNDIP’s Urban and Regional Planning student team deserving of first place at FESTAGAMA 12.0. (Sahila-Public Relations)
