UNDIP and UNPATTI Collaborate on the Implementation of Tri Dharma of Higher Education and MBKM

Diponegoro University (UNDIP) and Pattimura University (UNPATTI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Friday, July 12, 2024, in the Rector’s Conference Room at Diponegoro University. This Memorandum of Understanding covers the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program.

Dr. Ruslan H. S. Tawari, M.Si., Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems at Pattimura University, mentioned that as one of the central-eastern universities located between Makassar and Jayapura, UNPATTI has a responsibility to help address issues in the 3T (Tertinggal, Terdepan, dan Terluar) / (Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost) areas.

According to him, all Indonesians must participate in safeguarding these areas as part of the Republic of Indonesia. “We can reach a common understanding regarding collaboration,” he stated.

He mentioned that one form of participation can be undertaken through the Community Service Program (KKN). The KKN program and other collaborations with UNDIP in these areas can help improve the welfare of the 3T regions.

Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Cooperation at Diponegoro University, expressed the UNDIP Rector’s desire to make UNDIP beneficial and dignified. “The university aims for excellence in world-class research while also bringing a humanitarian aspect,” he said.

According to him, research and innovation can only be entirely beneficial if accompanied by cooperation to realize them. UNDIP will continue to strive to create the broadest possible benefits for the community through collaborations with various parties. (Sahila-Public Relations)
