The Rector of Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., officially inaugurated the newly appointed officials and UNDIP Non-Civil Servants Permanent Employees during the Inauguration Ceremony held on Monday, August 5, at 1:00 PM WIB, at the Hall of the SA-MWA Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Academic Senate, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Vice Rectors, Deans of Faculties/Schools, other officials within UNDIP, and guests.
The inauguration was based on the Rector’s Decree No. 2/UN7.A/KP/VII/2024 to No. 14/UN7.A/KP/VIII/2024 regarding the Termination and Appointment of Deans, Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, Secretaries of Study Programs, and Heads of Divisions within Diponegoro University. It was also based on the Rector’s Decree No. 33/UN7.A/KP/VII/2024 to No. 34/UN7.A/KP/VII/2024 and No. 30/UN7.A2/KP/VII/2024 regarding the Appointment of UNDIP Non-Civil Servants Permanent Employees.
During the inauguration, Prof. Dian Ratna Sawitri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D. was reappointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, and Prof. Agus Trianto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, replacing Prof. Ir. Tri Winarni Agustini, M.Sc., Ph.D. Additionally, 31 other UNDIP officials and 3 UNDIP Non-Civil Servants Permanent Employees were inaugurated.
The UNDIP Rector led the oath-taking ceremony and was accompanied by religious leaders according to each official’s faith. The signing of the Oath of Office Document and Pact was carried out by the Rector, accompanied by Dr. Warsito Kawedar, S.E., M.Si., Akt., and Prof. Dr. Yusriyadi, S.H., M.S. signing of the Handover of Office and the Submission of the Final Memorandum of Office.
In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed his gratitude to the outgoing officials and the newly appointed ones. “On behalf of Diponegoro University, we thank the former officials. To the newly inaugurated officials, I extend my congratulations and hope that this responsibility will be carried out to the best of your ability,” said Prof. Suharnomo.
“We also extend our gratitude to Prof. Ir. Tri Winarni Agustini, M.Sc., Ph.D., who, during her tenure as Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, has worked exceptionally well for the faculty, leading to significant progress,” added Prof. Suharnomo.
The officials appointed were the best and selected through a rigorous process. “We want to emphasize that you are the best choices from your respective faculties. Hopefully, this will encourage you to be responsible as a solid team in your respective areas,” explained Prof. Suharnomo.
Furthermore, Prof. Suharnomo hopes that the newly appointed officials will collaborate harmoniously and work as a solid team. “We want to establish a tradition where the Unity of Command is not just about obedience, and selection or promotion must go through a strict selection process and good performance,” he said.
Moreover, the appointed officials are expected to improve services for students and the public and to receive positive feedback and suggestions. Providing the best service is a duty that all members of the UNDIP academic community must carry out.
In closing, the UNDIP Rector encouraged the newly appointed officials to provide continuous benefits to the community. “In line with UNDIP’s new tagline, ‘UNDIP Bermartabat UNDIP Bermanfaat,’ we aim to bring more benefits to the broader community. Refrain from complaining too much, and if there are problems, coordinate with us to find solutions. Good intentions and goals must be pursued until they are achieved,” Prof. Suharnomo advised.
