WAVOE (Wave Volt Energy) is an innovative electricity generator utilizing the mechanical energy of ocean waves. This device converts wave motion into electricity with 50% efficiency, producing up to 63.9 kW per hour from 600 waves. Its key components include a wave clapper, generator, and energy storage system, all designed for automatic operation. The materials used feature aluminum coated with lithium to prevent corrosion. WAVOE functions by following the wave motion, enabling continuous electricity generation to meet the energy needs of coastal areas.

WAVOE is strategically placed in high-energy wave zones, such as the western coast of Sumatra and the southern coast of Java. This innovation supports SDG Goal 7 by providing clean, affordable energy to coastal communities. WAVOE is expected to contribute to sustainable national energy independence, leveraging Indonesia’s best marine energy potential for the nation’s welfare.
