Nurhaliza, an Outstanding Graduate: Excels in Academics and Organizations

Nurhaliza Dwi Ningrum, a graduate of the Faculty of Public Health at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), achieved Cum Laude honors with a GPA of 3.80, completing her studies in 3 years and 7 months.

Beyond academics, Nurhaliza was actively involved in various organizations. She served as Head of the Talent and Interest Division in the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Public Health, participated in the Health Administration and Policy Forum, and co-founded a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with her peers.

The NGO was established for The 5th Istanbul Youth Summit, focusing on Environmental Health. Nurhaliza and her team launched social media campaigns for project branding to reach a broader audience across Indonesia. Their efforts secured 2nd place in the “Best Project Group” category at the international competition, which featured students from Indonesia and other countries, with judges from prestigious global universities.

“I am incredibly proud to represent Indonesia and Universitas Diponegoro on the international stage,” she shared.

Additionally, Nurhaliza was awarded the Bakti Nusa Scholarship, which she had to relinquish due to her participation in UNDIP’s Community Service Program (KKN), the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program, and Fieldwork Practice.

Reflecting on her journey, she expressed gratitude to UNDIP for fostering her growth. “I gained invaluable experiences both academically and beyond. The campus environment has been incredibly supportive, from the well-equipped library to the numerous collaborations between UNDIP and universities at home and abroad. The partnerships with external institutions have also provided great opportunities,” she told the university’s public relations team.

For Nurhaliza, a balanced combination of education and organizational experience is key to unlocking future opportunities.

“Education equips us with knowledge to navigate an ever-evolving world. Meanwhile, being involved in organizations nurtures leadership skills and teaches invaluable lessons—such as teamwork, time management, and collaboration with external parties—that aren’t always covered in classrooms. The key is to keep trying new things!” she concluded. (Sahila – Public Relations)
