UNDIP, Semarang (February 8) – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) held its Annual Meeting on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Multipurpose Hall of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, UNDIP Tembalang Campus. The event was attended by the Chairperson of DWP UNDIP, along with board members and DWP representatives from various units within the university.
As part of the meeting, DWP UNDIP organized engaging and beneficial activities, including a cooking class, a session on food preparation for the month of Ramadan, and a Ruwah Bazaar. Dr. Bakti Etza Settiani, S.Pt., M.Sc., a lecturer in the Food Technology program at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP, presented the food preparation session.
The Chairperson of DWP UNDIP, Dewi Widayani Suharnomo, expressed her gratitude to the Economic and Education divisions for initiating and organizing the event. She emphasized the importance of maintaining health and energy during Ramadan month through nutritious food choices. Dr. Bakti Etza Settiani shared valuable insights on efficient meal preparation to ensure balanced nutrition while saving time and reducing stress during suhoor (pre-dawn meal) and iftar (breaking the fast).
“We hope that the cooking class and food preparation session provide practical solutions for ensuring nutritious meals during Ramadan month while also helping families save time and reduce stress when preparing suhoor and iftar,” said Dewi Widayani Suharnomo.
The event also featured a Ruwah Bazaar, with 15 booths representing various UNDIP units, including DWP from the Rectorate, 13 Faculties and Schools, and the Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND). The bazaar showcased a diverse range of products, from food and beverages to clothing and footwear, all crafted by DWP UNDIP members.
Through initiatives like this, DWP UNDIP remains committed to empowering its members by fostering skills in education, economy, and entrepreneurship, enabling them to become more self-sufficient and impactful in their communities. (Ut-media relations)
