UNDIP Rector Encourages KKPRI UNDIP to Become a Business Entity with Beneficial Governance for Society

UNDIP, Semarang (February 11) – The Koperasi Konsumen Pegawai Republik Indonesia Universitas Diponegoro (KKPRI UNDIP) / Indonesian Employee Consumer Cooperative of UNDIP held its 2025 Annual Member Meeting (Rapat Anggota Tahunan / RAT) and 2024 Financial Closing on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Prof. Sudarto, S.H. Building, UNDIP Tembalang. The event was attended by UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., representatives from the Semarang City Office of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises, partner banks (Mandiri, BNI, BTN, Bank Jateng, BRI, BSI), representatives from a public accounting firm, and all KKPRI UNDIP members.

KKPRI UNDIP Chairperson Prof. Bulan Prabawani, S.Sos., M.M., Ph.D., expressed gratitude for the participation of all KKPRI UNDIP members in this highest cooperative forum at UNDIP. She also announced a strategic plan aligned with KKPRI UNDIP’s vision to become a trusted business organization with good governance and IT-based management for member welfare by 2027.

KKPRI UNDIP aims to expand its business network through a representative system, ensuring that the largest share of profits benefits its members rather than capital owners. “We have adopted a sharia-compliant approach, covering membership, savings, and the determination of profit-sharing (Sisa Hasil Usaha / SHU). Thank you for your contributions, and for those who have yet to join KKPRI UNDIP, there is no need to hesitate,” said Prof. Bulan.

UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., officially opened the event. In his speech, he highlighted that many production units exist across various faculties at UNDIP, such as the Vocational School, the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, and the Faculty of Medicine (Department of Nutrition). Moving forward, he urged KKPRI UNDIP to become the primary supplier of daily necessities, especially for these production units.

“Our cooperative is a business entity with governance that benefits society. Almost all of our needs can be sourced here, from staple foods like rice and soap to savings and installment plans. I hope KKPRI UNDIP continues to expand its network, strengthen partnerships, and foster extraordinary synergy among its members,” stated Prof. Suharnomo.

Dr. Reni Shinta Dewi, S.Sos., M.Si., Chair of the Committee of this event, reported that KKPRI UNDIP currently has 2,724 members. She hopes this number will continue to grow, driving KKPRI UNDIP forward as a global business unit.

During the 2025 Annual Member Meeting, the 2022-2027 KKPRI UNDIP management and supervisory board drafted the 2025 KKPRI UNDIP Work Plan, covering various areas: Organization and Human Resources, Finance, Savings and Loans, Retail Business, Service Business, Social Education and Welfare, and Facilities and Infrastructure.

The event also featured a door prize giveaway for active KKPRI UNDIP members. The grand prizes included one motorcycle from KKPRI UNDIP, one motorcycle from Bank Mandiri, one motorcycle from Bank BNI, one motorcycle from Bank BTN, one electric bicycle from Bank Jateng, and one refrigerator from Bank BRI. Additionally, KKPRI UNDIP awarded shopping vouchers to the five members with the highest spending in 2024. (Titis – Media Relations)
