UNDIP, Semarang (February 18) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) continues its commitment to attracting potential students for the 2025 SNBP, SNBT, and Independent Exam admission pathways. As part of this effort, UNDIP’s Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (Lembaga Pengembangan dan Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan / LP2MP) conducted an outreach and promotion event for New Student Admissions (Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru / PMB) at SMA IT Ihsanul Fikri Mungkid in Magelang on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
The event aimed to provide in-depth information to 12th-grade students about UNDIP’s admission pathways and available scholarship opportunities. Additionally, the LP2MP team introduced various distinguished study programs recognized both nationally and internationally.
Led by Dr. Vivi Endar Herawati, S.Pi., M.Si., a lecturer from the Undergraduate Aquaculture Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, the LP2MP UNDIP team—Kenny Dwi Purwani, S.Hum., and Tri Wahyudi—emphasized the importance of selecting a university with a strong academic reputation and an extensive alumni network to support future careers.
With the theme “Unleash Your Potential, Ignite Your Future,” the UNDIP team highlighted the university’s vision as a leading research institution with nationally and internationally accredited study programs (IABEE, FIBAA, and ASIIN).
During the session, Dr. Vivi explained the various faculties at UNDIP, including the International Undergraduate Program (IUP), which offers a globally recognized academic experience. She also introduced UNDIP’s top facilities, such as the DIPO Hub, Service English Unit (SEU), student dormitories (Rusunawa), an Integrated Laboratory, international-standard futsal and basketball courts, Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND), a hotel and office complex, Muladi Dome, jogging tracks, and comfortable study areas.
“UNDIP also provides 46 Student Activity Units to support students in developing their talents and interests. Additionally, the university offers campus shuttle buses to facilitate mobility within the campus,” Dr. Vivi added.
She outlined the three main admission pathways at UNDIP; they are SNBP (National Selection Based on Achievement) – 20% quota. SNBT (National Selection Based on Test) – 30% quota, and UNDIP Independent Examination – 50% quota.
For SNPMB 2025, SNBP registration is open from February 4 to February 18, 2025, while the UTBK-SNBT exam will take place from March 11 to March 27, 2025.
Meanwhile, Dra. Nur Cahyo Hidayati, Principal of SMA IT Ihsanul Fikri, expressed appreciation for the UNDIP team’s presence and hoped that more of their students would continue their education at UNDIP, which now holds the status of a Legal-State Entity University (Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Berbadan Hukum / PTNBH).
“In the past three years, a growing number of our students have been interested in pursuing higher education, particularly at UNDIP. In 2024, 29 students were accepted, while in the previous year, 35 students enrolled at UNDIP. This year, we hope to exceed 40 students,” said Nur Cahyo.
The session was met with great enthusiasm from students, many of whom were already familiar with UNDIP’s top-tier accreditation and outstanding academic and non-academic achievements. The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions about study opportunities, competition for admission, and educational and extracurricular experiences at UNDIP.
The event concluded with a token of appreciation and a group photo session, marking the success of the outreach initiative.
