UNDIP and Polri Hold Collaborative Meeting to Strengthen Synergy

UNDIP, Semarang (June 12, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) welcomed a visit from the Human Resources Staff Division of the Indonesian National Police (SSDM Polri) for a collaborative dialogue on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., held at the Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus.

The meeting marked the initial step toward forging a partnership between UNDIP and the Polri (National Police), focusing on cooperation in education, research, community service, and institutional development. A memorandum of understanding was also signed during the event.

UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si. welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of synergy and collaboration in today’s world. “We live in an era of collaboration. No one can succeed alone. We need partnerships, we need synergy,” he said. “Today, executors must also be learners and thinkers,” he added.

“The gap between emerging problems and the need for decision-making is now very narrow. Therefore, executors must keep learning,” Prof. Suharnomo explained. He expressed hope that the partnership would broaden UNDIP’s role in delivering tangible contributions to society.

Brigjen Gen. Agoes Soejadi, S.I.K., Head of the Bureau of Strategic Studies at SSDM Polri, expressed appreciation for UNDIP’s role in supporting human resource development within the Indonesian National Police (Polri). “UNDIP has played a significant role. Many of our personnel have studied at UNDIP, particularly in the Faculty of Law, which we consider one of the best. The knowledge they gain is directly applied in their service to the community,” he said.

“Moving forward, we aim further to develop this knowledge for the benefit of the public,” he added. He also expressed hope that the collaboration would yield positive outcomes for both Polri and UNDIP.

The event continued with a discussion session led by Dr. Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Public Communication. The session explored potential areas for collaboration across disciplines, including law and psychology.

Several key figures attended the audience:

  1. Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum., Dean of the Faculty of Law
  2. Prof. Dian Ratna Sawitri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Psychology
  3. Dr. dr. Sri Winarni, M.Kes., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Public Health
  4. From Polri, Brigjen Gen. Agoes Soejadi, S.I.K. and his delegation were present.
