UNDIP’s Faculty of Law Named Best State Law School in Central Region at Top Indonesian Law School 2025

UNDIP, Semarang (September 6, 2025) – The Faculty of Law at Universitas Diponegoro (FH UNDIP) has once again achieved a prestigious milestone by being named the Best State Law School in the Central Region at the Hukum Online, Jakarta, organized on August 17, 2025. The esteemed competition featured 43 law faculties, comprising 19 public universities and 24 private universities. FH UNDIP successfully earned the distinction as the Best Public Law School in the Central Region.

The Top Indonesian Law Schools 2025 ranking provides a comprehensive overview of the quality of legal education in Indonesia, based on in-depth evaluations of four key aspects: the number of Golden Alumni, BAN-PT accreditation, SINTA scores, and global reputation as reflected in the QS World University Rankings.

The data used came from credible sources and underwent rigorous validation to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the results. By weighting these four indicators, the ranking reflects the capacity of law schools to adapt to the evolving dynamics of higher education and industry demands.

The nominees for Best Public Law School in the Central Region included:

  1. Faculty of Law, Universitas Diponegoro
  2. Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada
  3. Faculty of Law, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman
  4. Faculty of Law, Universitas Negeri Semarang
  5. Faculty of Law, Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang

In addition, UNDIP’s Faculty of Law also received the title of “Innovator of Digital Legal Literacy.”

A notable individual achievement was earned by Asep Ridwan, S.H., M.H., an UNDIP Law alumnus and current Chair of the FH UNDIP alumni association, who was named a Golden Alumni 2025.

Dean of FH UNDIP’s Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum., expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the recognition.

“Alhamdulillah, this achievement reaffirms FH UNDIP’s position as one of the top law schools in Indonesia. This recognition is especially for our academic community—faculty members, students, alumni, education staff, collaborative partners, and everyone who has contributed. May this inspire us to pursue even greater accomplishments,” said Prof. Retno.

Similarly, Vice Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Aditya Yuli Sulistyawan, S.H., M.H., who accepted the award on behalf of the Dean of FH UNDIP, conveyed sincere thanks and appreciation to Hukumonline for naming FH UNDIP as the Best Public Law School in the Central Region 2025. He dedicated the award to the entire FH UNDIP community for their remarkable synergy.
