Universitas Diponegoro Strengthens Collaboration with PT BGR Logistik Indonesia to Advance Innovation Downstreaming for an Impactful Campus

UNDIP, Semarang (October 27, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) continues to reaffirm its commitment to supporting the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendikti Saintek RI) program, “Diktisaintek Berdampak” (Impactful Higher Education), by fostering a campus culture that actively serves as an agent of change. On Monday, October 27, 2025, UNDIP and PT BGR Logistik Indonesia established a strategic partnership under the theme “Impactful Independent Campus,” marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si. and PT BGR Logistik Indonesia’s Director of Finance, HR, and Business Support, Energy, S.E., S.H., M.M.

UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., warmly welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing its role in strengthening the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. “Networking is our currency, and today we live in the era of the Internet of Things (IoT). At UNDIP, we have produced many technology-based innovations, and during the celebration of UNDIP’s 68th Anniversary, we showcased 30 faculty innovation projects,” he said.

He also highlighted UNDIP’s notable achievement of ranking 2nd nationally in patent applications over the past decade (2015–2024), as recognized by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI). “Of course, our innovations are supported by extensive collaborations with the business world. We hope this partnership goes beyond an MoU and develops into a more sustainable engagement beyond internship programs. UNDIP has many technologies ready for collaboration and downstreaming,” he added.

Echoing this sentiment, Energy, S.E., S.H., M.M., Director of Finance, HR, and Business Support at PT BGR Logistik Indonesia, stated that the partnership aims to promote knowledge and technology exchange between academia and industry, as well as to enhance students’ understanding of logistics. PT BGR Logistik Indonesia is a digitally integrated logistics service provider with more than 20 locations across Indonesia.

“We aim to create positive synergy and symbiosis between academia and business through ethical and effective business practices. We want to learn from universities—both philosophically and practically—especially in human resource development, as the role of ‘people’ is crucial. Currently, PT BGR Logistik Indonesia hosts 19 UNDIP interns who are contributing to logistics operations,” he said.

The MoU signing was followed by a discussion session, during which PT BGR Logistik Indonesia shared insights into its use of advanced SAP digital technology to manage cold storage and food cluster systems, which align with UNDIP’s innovation initiatives and its focus on digital warehouse management. This collaboration serves as a bridge between academia and industry, helping produce high-quality human resources to support the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.

The event, held at Widya Puraya Building UNDIP at 1:00 PM, was attended by key representatives, including drh.
