UNDIP, Semarang (November 4, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) held an Open Senate Session for the 180th Graduation Ceremony of 2025. The four-day event, taking place from November 4 to 7, 2025, at the Muladi Dome Multi-purpose Building on the UNDIP Tembalang Campus, marked a historic milestone for 3,341 graduates from various faculties and schools within the university.
During this period, UNDIP inaugurated 68 doctors, 248 master’s degrees, 36 medical specialists, 143 professionals, 2,298 bachelor’s degrees, 545 applied bachelor’s degrees, and 3 diploma graduates. A total of 2,096 graduates (62.74%) earned the cum laude distinction, including 289 recipients of Bidikmisi (KIP-Kuliah) scholarships. With this batch, the total number of UNDIP alumni has reached 286,900, spread across various strategic sectors nationally and internationally.
In her opening remarks, Chair of the UNDIP Academic Senate, Prof. Ir. Tri Winarni Agustini, M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed gratitude for the successful organization of the graduation, which marks both the culmination of academic pursuit and the beginning of service to society.
“UNDIP remains committed to producing excellent graduates with integrity who serve as agents of change, carrying the spirit of Prince Diponegoro across the nation. UNDIP’s achievement in entering the world’s top 500 universities motivates us to continuously improve education quality and make real contributions to the nation’s progress,” she stated.
Prof. Tri concluded her message by urging graduates always to be grateful, uphold integrity, and continue to spread a positive impact wherever they go.

Meanwhile, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., in his address, invited graduates to view their graduation as both a blessing and a responsibility. According to him, graduation is not the end, but the beginning of a long journey to contribute to society.
“UNDIP graduates are known for their hard work, loyalty, integrity, and leadership. With their language skills, professionalism, and dedication to service, graduates must confidently become change-makers—not merely job seekers, but opportunity creators and drivers of progress,” emphasized Prof. Suharnomo.
On the same occasion, the Rector highlighted UNDIP’s achievements as it celebrates its 68th anniversary, including innovations in desalination technology applied in Jawa Tengah’s coastal areas and integrated waste management initiatives that position UNDIP as a sustainable green campus. He also praised UNDIP’s academic community for their national and international accomplishments, such as winning the 2025 National Outstanding Student Competition (Pilmapres), the Antawirya Team’s success at the Energy-Efficient Car Contest (KMHE) in Jember Regency, and various awards in research and religious studies.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Ir. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, presented the list of top-performing graduates with perfect GPAs, including:
- Aulia Rahim (Doctor of Environmental Science, GPA 4.00)
- Liliek Triyono (Doctor of Information Systems, GPA 4.00)
- Dina Lusiana Setyowati (Doctor of Public Health, GPA 4.00)
- Nuril Azhar (Doctor of Marine Science, GPA 4.00)
- Wulan Masyithah (Master of Environmental Health, GPA 4.00)
- Erika Nurul Wijaya (Applied Bachelor of Information and Public Relations, GPA 4.00), along with several other graduates, achieved outstanding distinctions.
A special recognition was awarded to Fatkhiyatus Sa’adah (Doctor of Environmental Science) for achieving the highest number of scientific publications—five international publications—demonstrating UNDIP’s strong commitment to fostering an innovative and impactful research culture.
“Cum laude is not the only measure of success. Every process is a valuable lesson. Today marks the beginning of proving that true success is born from passion, hard work, and the will to make a difference,” concluded Prof. Heru.
Also attending the ceremony was Nandhika Tama, President Director of PT Satu Sahabat Jawanis, who inspired graduates with a motivational talk emphasizing that success does not always follow a linear academic path, but rather depends on adaptability, networking, and continuous self-improvement.

“Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. The professional world demands creativity, courage, and a continuous drive for growth. Success is not about how much capital you have, but how strong your determination and willingness to learn are,” he said.
Sharing his journey in building a seafood export business to Europe, which has contracts worth over one trillion rupiah, Nandhika highlighted the importance of innovation, uniqueness, and perseverance in entrepreneurship. He closed with optimism that UNDIP graduates have immense potential to become a resilient generation—ready to work, to lead, and to make a real impact.
The graduation ceremony was held in four stages as follows:
- Stage 1 (Tuesday, November 4, 2025): Postgraduate School, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, and Vocational School.
- Stage 2 (Wednesday, November 5, 2025): Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
- Stage 3 (Thursday, November 6, 2025): Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, and Faculty of Science and Mathematics.
- Stage 4 (Friday, November 7, 2025): Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Humanities, and Faculty of Psychology.
More than an academic ceremony, UNDIP’s 180th Graduation marks the birth of a new generation of young intellectuals carrying the spirit of Prince Diponegoro for Indonesia and the world.
