D-DART UNDIP Emergency Response Team Deployed to West Sumatra

UNDIP, West Sumatra (December 3, 2025) – On December 3, 2025, the Emergency Response Team of Universitas Diponegoro’s Disaster Assistance Response Team (D-DART UNDIP) was officially dispatched to disaster-affected areas in West Sumatra. The deployment of this team represents UNDIP’s rapid response to support emergency management efforts and assist affected communities in their recovery.

Ns. Nur Hafizhah Widyaningtyas, S.Kep., M.Kep., led the team and was supported by members from medical, nursing, psychology, and other professional volunteer backgrounds.

The team members include Marsha Yoke Nancy, S.Kep., Ns., M.N.Sc.; dr. Yetty Movieta Nency, Sp.A(K); dr. Saekhol Bakri, M.P.H., Ph.D.; Aldani Putri Wijayanti, S.Psi., M.Sc.; Tri Sawaliyanto, Amd.Kep; Fadhil Raihan Akbar, S.Kep; M. Umar Dani, S.Kep; M. Ilham Deryan Martono; and Edi Nuryanto.

Upon arrival at the location, the team immediately carried out a series of first-day activities, starting with coordination and reporting to the Padang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the handover of logistic aid in the form of blankets and other necessities, and a preparatory meeting for the field assessment. In addition, the team distributed blankets to residents at the local evacuation post as part of the initial support.

On the second day, the team will continue its agenda by conducting further assessments, conducting health checks for survivors, providing psychosocial assistance, and coordinating additional logistical needs.

D-DART UNDIP hopes that each of these actions will provide meaningful strength to the affected communities and serve as a tangible expression of solidarity in helping others. (Public Communication/UNDIP/Fadhil)
