UNDIP, Palembayan (December 13, 2025) – The Second Volunteer Team of the Diponegoro Disaster Assistance Response Team (D-DART) of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) conducted a series of psychosocial support activities and health services for disaster-affected communities in Palembayan and surrounding areas on Saturday, December 13, 2025. This initiative was carried out under the coordination of the Disaster Management Center of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) UNDIP.
The activities focused on restoring survivors’ psychosocial well-being and providing basic health services needed by the community in the post-disaster phase. Through an empathetic and collaborative approach, the Second D-DART Volunteer Team aimed not only to deliver assistance but also to provide strength and hope.
In the psychosocial support segment, the second D-DART Volunteer Team conducted activities at two evacuation posts: Surau Ujung Post and Ujung Gadang Post. Approximately 40 survivors at the first post and 20 survivors at the second post received assistance, including children, the elderly, and vulnerable groups. The support included emotional stabilization, assessment of psychological needs, and various recovery activities designed to help survivors regain a sense of safety, calm, and empowerment.
Meanwhile, the D-DART Health Services Team provided medical assistance at the Palembayan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) through general health check-ups and intensive coordination with local health workers. A total of 200 patients received medical examinations and treatment, including the distribution of medicines for those in need. In addition to general health services, the activities were strengthened by surgical services directly handled by Dr. dr. Hadi, M.Si.Med., SpB, as a response to ongoing medical needs in the affected areas.
Support also came from the team of Prof. Dr. Achmad Zulfa Juniarto, M.Si.Med., Sp.And(K)., M.M.R., Ph.D, who distributed aid from the Universitas Diponegoro Alumni Association (IKA UNDIP) to the Kranji area. Beyond distributing aid, the team also participated in a collaborative podcast with a UNIK influencer to amplify solidarity, raise public awareness, and expand the impact of disaster education to wider communities.
