UNDIP’s Vocational School Strengthens International Collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

UNDIP, Semarang (September 11, 2025) – The Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has strengthened its international engagement through a collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (Fakulti Kejuruteraan dan Alam Bina/FKAB), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

The signing of the Letter of Intent (LoI) took place in Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia, on August 24–28, 2025, by the Dean of UNDIP’s Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si., together with the Dean of FKAB UKM.

The collaboration covers Visiting Professor programs, staff exchange, student mobility, and curriculum alignment in the fields of Civil Engineering and Architecture. UNDIP also conducted laboratory and workshop benchmarking at UKM as part of efforts to enhance the quality of project-based learning.

As a follow-up, on September 8–11, 2025, the UNDIP Vocational School hosted Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wardah Fatimah Mohammad Yusoff as a Visiting Professor under the theme “Thermal Performance of Buildings in Tropical Climate.”

Dean of the Vocational School at UNDIP, Prof. Budiyono, described this collaboration as a strategic step.

“Collaboration with UKM opens wider opportunities for UNDIP students and lecturers to engage at the international level while strengthening the academic quality of vocational education,” he stated.

Through this collaboration, UNDIP reaffirms its commitment to becoming a world-class vocational school that is adaptive to global challenges, in line with the spirit of ‘Noble and Valuable UNDIP’ and the Diktisaintek Berdampak program. (Public Communication/UNDIP/Vocational School Team)
