UNDIP, Semarang (23/1) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) officially inaugurated 18 (eighteen) professors from various fields of expertise during the Open Session for the Inauguration of Professors, held from January 26 to January 30, 2026, at the Sudarto SH Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus.
This inauguration marks an important milestone at the beginning of the year, strengthening UNDIP’s academic capacity and its contribution to the development of science, research, and technology that benefit society.
The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed his happiness over the inauguration of the 18 professors, noting that it will further strengthen UNDIP’s role in producing works that provide direct benefits to society. “Professors have a strategic role as drivers of innovation, guardians of academic integrity, and authoritative references in addressing national and global challenges,” he stated.
The 18 professors inaugurated come from the following faculties: Law; Economics and Business; Engineering; Medicine; Animal and Agricultural Sciences; Social and Political Sciences; Science and Mathematics; and Public Health. The diversity of expertise possessed by these professors is expected to strengthen UNDIP’s capacity to produce leading research with global competitiveness.
