UNDIP, Semarang (13/2) — Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has once again reaffirmed its commitment to producing outstanding graduates through the 181st Graduation Ceremony held in February 2026. One graduate who achieved remarkable accomplishments is Amelia Rizky Alvianita, a student of the Undergraduate Public Administration Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP).
Amelia, who was admitted through the Independent Partnership admission pathway, completed her studies in 3 years and 4 months, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.83—an achievement that reflects high academic dedication, intensive organizational involvement, and participation in competitions.
Amelia’s interest in communication, particularly public speaking and news anchoring, began during her high school years. For her, speaking skills are not merely about appearing in public but serve as a strategic means to influence audiences and convey ideas that benefit society.
“I realized that speaking is not merely a performance skill, but the ability to influence, build trust, and communicate ideas that can have an impact on society,” she explained.
During her time at FISIP UNDIP, Amelia actively achieved numerous accomplishments in various national competitions throughout 2025. Among her notable achievements are First Place in the News Anchor Competition at Universitas Padjadjaran, First Place in Public Speaking at UNDIP, and First Place in the Public Service Announcement competition at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). In addition, her dedication earned her national recognition when she was selected as an Indonesian Inspiration Ambassador Batch 14, giving her a platform to inspire other young people.
Amelia acknowledged that Universitas Diponegoro strongly supports students in their academic and non-academic development. In every competition, she emphasized the importance of thorough preparation, from mastering speaking techniques to gaining a deep understanding of the material.
“The long training process taught me the importance of consistency and mental resilience, while the victories remind me that the best results come from a process carried out seriously and with full commitment,” she explained.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, Amelia is now actively working as a public speaking coach and self-development mentor for students. She believes that every student plays an important role in strengthening the university’s reputation as a world-class university through innovation and achievement. According to her, students must be courageous in seizing opportunities, whether through competitions or organizational involvement.
She concluded her journey with an encouraging message for fellow students: don’t be afraid to try new things, even when they feel unprepared. For her, achievement is about continuously becoming a better version of oneself and contributing positively to others.
“Don’t wait until you feel ready to start. Begin with small steps, follow the process consistently, and build the habit of continuous learning,” Amelia advised.
This spirit is what Amelia carries as an alumna in continuing to realize the tagline of’Noble and Valuable UNDIP’. It shows her courage to take action, and that consistency in learning is key for UNDIP graduates to become inspiring leaders at both national and global levels.
