UNDIP, Jakarta (4/4) – The Alumni Association of Universitas Diponegoro (IKA UNDIP) DKI Jakarta held a Halalbihalal 1447 H event at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works, South Jakarta, on Saturday (April 4, 2026). The event served as a platform to strengthen ties and enhance collaboration among alumni, the university, and strategic partners.
The event was opened with remarks by the Deputy Minister of Public Works, Ir. Diana Kusumastuti, MT, emphasized the importance of synergy between universities, alumni, and the government in supporting national development. She expressed her pride in the event and appreciated the strong sense of unity among UNDIP alumni despite their professional commitments in the capital.
Echoing this, the Chair of IKA UNDIP Jakarta, Noor Rachmad, presented various programs that have been carried out and encouraged alumni to continue supporting future initiatives to strengthen both social and professional networks.
The Chair of IKA UNDIP, Abdul Kadir Karding, highlighted the strategic role of alumni in expanding UNDIP’s impact within society and strengthening cross-sector collaboration.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector IV of UNDIP reaffirmed the university’s commitment to enhancing its global reputation while delivering tangible contributions through research-based innovation.
“Over the past year, UNDIP has shown significant progress, including improvements in the rankings of several study programs in the QS World University Rankings. This success is not only an academic achievement but also a reflection of collective efforts to bring UNDIP closer to becoming a world-class university,” he stated.
He added that UNDIP continues to promote the downstreaming of research through impactful innovations.
“We have developed more than 30 flagship innovations, launched during UNDIP’s 68th anniversary in 2025. These include the Hybrid Sea Wall for tidal flood mitigation, seawater desalination technology and innovations such as Voca Light and Voca Water. These are concrete examples of how university research addresses societal needs,” he explained.

Student academic achievements also became a source of pride in 2025, with UNDIP rising from 27th to 4th place nationally in Pimnas 2025 and making history by winning 1st place in Pilmapres at both the undergraduate and diploma levels.
“For UNDIP alumni, we deeply appreciate the contributions made by IKA UNDIP, including scholarship support for underprivileged students, provision of campus facilities, and academic collaborations involving alumni who have contributed to the nation,” he added.
On this occasion, a cooperation agreement was also signed between IKA UNDIP and the Fisheries and Marine Business Technology (TBPK) Study Program of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences UNDIP.
The event was attended by several notable figures, including MWA UNDIP member M. Riza Damanik (Deputy for MSMEs at the Ministry of MSMEs), Hery Murahmanta (Director of Infrastructure and Technology at PT PGN), Prof. Muhammad Nasir, and Prof. Arif Hidayat.
