UNDIP, Semarang (May 26) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) officially inaugurated the UNDIP DipoCare Teaching Pharmacy, located on the second floor of the Universitas Diponegoro Business Center Building in Tembalang, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The establishment of DipoCare marks a strategic step by UNDIP to enhance healthcare services and advance pharmacists’ professional education.
The inauguration was marked by the signing of a commemorative plaque by UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp.B., Subsp.Onk (K). The ceremony continued with a ribbon-cutting and tumpeng cutting procession, symbolizing the official commencement of DipoCare’s operations.
Chair of the DipoCare Teaching Pharmacy Establishment Team, Wimzy Rizqy Prabhata, M.Sc., Apt., explained that the pharmacy project was initiated in 2022 and has become an important component in the development of professional education for pharmacists at UNDIP. He noted that DipoCare serves not only as a healthcare service unit but also as a primary pharmaceutical practice facility for pharmacy students and pharmacist trainees. “This teaching pharmacy serves as the main practice facility for pharmacy students and pharmacists to gain hands-on pharmaceutical experience. We hope DipoCare will continue to grow and provide benefits to both the institution and the surrounding community,” he said.
Director of PT Undip Citra Cipta Prima, Lala Irviana, S.Sos., S.E., M.M., M.Psi., Ph.D., stated that the inauguration of DipoCare reflects a tangible collaboration between UNDIP, the Faculty of Medicine, and PT Undip Citra Cipta Prima in supporting the development of healthcare services and educational initiatives that benefit the wider community. “We hope DipoCare will provide broad benefits to society while supporting Universitas Diponegoro’s vision as a noble and valuable university,” she remarked.
Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, described the inauguration as an important milestone for the Faculty of Medicine, particularly in supporting the establishment of the Pharmacist Professional Program. He emphasized that the teaching pharmacy represents part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to grow and respond to future healthcare education needs. “This is a great blessing for UNDIP and the Faculty of Medicine. The establishment of the teaching pharmacy alongside the launch of the pharmacist professional program is a significant milestone that we have long awaited,” he said.
In his remarks, Rector Prof. Suharnomo reaffirmed UNDIP’s commitment to continuously strengthening educational facilities and healthcare services that directly impact society. According to him, the Faculty of Medicine is one of the key pillars of institutional development and must continue to be supported by the enhancement of learning facilities and professional healthcare services. “We believe that DipoCare Pharmacy will grow into a center for pharmaceutical and pharmacist professional education while also serving as a healthcare facility that benefits the broader community,” he stated.
The inauguration series also included the handover of an operational vehicle to the Faculty of Medicine by Bank BTN. This support is expected to enhance the faculty’s mobility in conducting academic activities, providing healthcare services, and engaging in community engagement programs. On the same occasion, the Faculty of Medicine organized free health screenings and consultations and offered discounts of up to 50 percent on selected pharmaceutical products.
Through the establishment of the DipoCare Teaching Pharmacy, UNDIP aims to create a more integrated healthcare education ecosystem that combines learning, professional practice, service innovation, and community engagement.
