UNDIP, Semarang (13/2) – Universitas Diponegoro held the 2026 Education Fund Management Institution (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan / LPDP) Scholarship Program Socialization on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Entrepreneurship Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNDIP Tembalang Campus. The event was attended by 304 participants, including university leaders, lecturers, and final-year students from various faculties and schools at UNDIP.
The socialization aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of LPDP scholarship schemes, particularly the Joint Degree/Double Degree programs and Co-funding schemes, while also encouraging more UNDIP graduates to pursue master’s and doctoral studies, both domestically and abroad.
Representing the Rector of UNDIP, the Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Collaboration, and Public Communication, Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed appreciation for LPDP’s support in developing Indonesia’s high-quality human resources and expanding access to further education for the academic community.
“On behalf of the university leadership, we express our gratitude to LPDP for its contribution in supporting higher education in Indonesia. This scholarship program provides significant opportunities for UNDIP graduates to pursue advanced studies in leading programs both at home and abroad,” said Wijayanto, Ph.D.
He also emphasized that UNDIP continues to expand international cooperation through the development of double degree programs, which have grown significantly from previously limited offerings. These efforts are expected to increase student academic mobility and strengthen graduates’ global competitiveness. We encourage faculties and study programs to develop double degree programs so that students have more international study options. This opportunity should be utilized optimally by all members of the academic community,” he added.
As the main speaker, the Director of LPDP Scholarships, Ir. Dwi Larso, M.SIE., Ph.D., presented policies, selection mechanisms, and opportunities for further study through LPDP programs. He explained that LPDP manages the national education endowment fund allocated to prepare Indonesia’s outstanding human resources through quality education. “To date, tens of thousands of the nation’s best talents have benefited from LPDP scholarships. This program is expected to produce competent future leaders, possess integrity, and contribute significantly to national development,” he explained.
In his presentation, he also emphasized the importance of young people having the courage to pursue higher education and maintaining integrity as a key foundation in nation-building. “Indonesia has great potential to become a developed country. Therefore, the educated generation must dare to dream big, uphold honesty, and make their best contributions to society,” he stated.
The event continued with an interactive question-and-answer session moderated by the Deputy Director for Global Partnerships and Connectivity of UNDIP, Pulung Widhi Hari Hananto, S.H., M.H., LL.M. Participants showed strong enthusiasm, reflected in the many questions related to preparation for further study, strategies for passing the selection process, and career opportunities after completing their education.
Through this activity, UNDIP reaffirmed its commitment to improving the quality of human resources through higher education and expanding access for students and lecturers to international scholarship programs.
