The Dean of the Undip Vocational School Prof. Budiyono welcomed 1039 new students of the Undip Vocational School Applied Undergraduate Program in the academic year of 2019/2020 during the ceremony that was held on the campus field of Tembalang Undip Vocational School, Tuesday (6/8).
The Dean emphasized that Vocational is a solution to increase the nation’s competitiveness because it is able to overcome two problems at once. Vocational can be a solution to the problem of low labor force competitiveness, unemployment, as well as the problem of overcoming the skills miss-match in the field of work. This is in accordance with the Vision of Undip Vocational Schools which is to become a center of superior vocational education at an international level.
“God have deliver you here. Delivering you to become a new student of the 2019 Vocational School, the largest faculty in Undip, a faculty with 37 study programs and the faculty with highest amount of student. Therefore, the progress of the Undip Vocational School will also significantly affect the progress of the Undip itself.”
“Welcome, the generation of champions. Welcome to the big family of Undip Vocational. We are very proud to welcome you to this Undip Vocational School, ” said the Dean.
Meanwhile the Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs Undip Vocational School Dr. Ida Hayu Dwimawanti in her report said that the number of new students in the Applied Engineering Vocational School Diponegoro University 2019/2020 are 1039 people consisting of 79 STr-Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology, 58 STr-Mechanical Design Engineering, 52 STr-Technology Automation Engineering , 24 STr-Marine Engineering Construction Technology, 58 STr-Industrial Electrical Engineering, 74 STr-Spatial Planning and Land, 130 STr-Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Architectural Design, 233 STr-Tax Accounting, 119 STr-Management and Logistics Administration, 66 STr -Applied Foreign Languages, 146 STr- Information and Public Relations.
The opening of Undip Vocational School PMB also features a tambourines performance from Vocational school students, anti-radicalism debriefing by the Head of Undip anti-radicalism Dr. Muhammad Adnan and general lecture from UTM Malaysia represented by Prof.Madya Abdul Muta’ali, Dr.Sa’ardin , Dr. Mohamad Hussaini and Dr. Khairul Hisham.
