SEMARANG – The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) of Diponegoro University promotes four of its lecturers as well as becoming professors. The four were Dr. Dra Meiny Suzery, MS, Dr. Muhammad Cholid Djunaidi, SSi, MSi, Dr. Agus Subagio, SSi, MSi, and Dr. Suryono, SSi, MSi. They sequentially made an online presentation during Plenary Meeting of the Academic Senate Professor Council (SA), Thursday (11/06/2020).
Undip’s Head of Academic Senate, Prof. Dr. Ir Sunarso, MS, in his speech said that although the Covid-19 pandemic still continues, the process of promoting professors at Undip continued. “This is the umpteenth time we have attended a professor’s presentation. Until (the end of) June there will be 15 prospective professors who will presenting their scientific scripts, ” said Head of SA Undip, Prof. Sunarso.
According to Prof. Narso, his nickname, earlier on Monday (6/8/2020) there were also presentations of four prospective professors. Two of them were from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics namely Dr. Dra Endah Dwi Hastuti MSi from the FSM’s Biology Department and Dr. Dra Dwi Hudiyanti MSc from the FSM’s Biophysical Chemistry Department. Beginning in June, exactly June 4, 2020, scientific exposures were held for four professors, two of them were from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics namely Drs. Sapto, M.Sc., Ph.D and Dr. Kusworo Adi, S. Si., MT. Currently, the Faculty of Science and Mathematics dominates the number of promoted Professors. “Hopefully, these prospective professors will be able to obtain the degree and their scientific research will benefit the society,” said Prof. Narso.
The efforts in producing professors are in line with the vision of Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama SH MH which is for Undip to be included in the list of 500 leading universities in the world. To the end of this year, Undip is being estimated to have 200 professors from 11 Faculties, one Vocational School and one Post-Graduate School.
