Undip Strengthen Learning Based on Industrial Revolution 4.0 with E-Learning Studio and Vocational Tax Corner

SEMARANG – Recently Undip held a press conference to prepare inauguration of E-Learning Studio and Vocational Tax Corner (VTC) by Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. on the upcoming Monday (15/3/2021). These two teaching industries are one of the answers to the real challenges faced by higher education providers in the industrial era 4.0. Undip Vocational School as the organizer of these two teaching industries strives to improve adequate practical facilities for students through E-Learning Studio and services to the academic community through the Vocational Tax Corner (VTC).

“E-Learning Studio is established by Undip Vocational School to develop various methods and substances of learning based on the 4.0 industrial revolution, which are packaged in blended learning, case studies, project based learning, and problem based learning. In the future, the E-Learning Studio can also be used by Vocational School students to practice the production process of event programs or contents, such as making educational videos according to their scientific fields,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Sc. as Dean of Undip Vocational School in the press conference which is held today, Friday (12/3). Furthermore, Prof. Budiyono explained, “Lecturers can collaborate with students, so that students can improve their competence in the fields of technology and multimedia. This is done as the implementation of vocational education which contains 70% practice and 30% theory. Thus, students can hone their skills in the use of information and communication technology, from preproduction, production, to editing which support the process of creating creative content.”

Apart from the E-Learning Studio, Rector of Diponegoro University will also inaugurate the Vocational Tax Corner (VTC). The presence of VTC, which is pioneered by lecturers and students of Tax Accounting Study Program at Vocational School of Diponegoro University, under the supervision of Central Java I Regional Tax Office, is expected not only to become a forum for competency development for Tax Accounting students, but also as a place of service in the field of taxation, especially in filling online Tax Notification Letter and tax consultation for Diponegoro University educators and residents around the campus area. VTC will also provide training facilities for filling out Personal Income Tax Notification Letter online for Undip lecturers and educational staffs.

In line with its vision of becoming a center for excellent and international vocational education in 2040, currently Diponegoro University Vocational School continues to build its strengthening phase. Each study program is encouraged to point out the advantages of its scientific field in order to increase competitiveness in the middle of industrial revolution 4.0 era. Several advantages that have been highlighted by the study programs at Vocational School of Diponegoro University, including digital public relations (PR), digital archive, e-logistics, Japanese-English Vocational Languages Center (JEVLAC), Center for Excellence in Science and Technology (PUI) smart technology, digital village, floating house, renewable energy, welding school, blended learning, and so on.

Undip Vocational School is proud about future collaboration with other faculties in applying and practicing knowledge together, including collaboration with Business World and Industrial World. Through creating and initiating innovation of products from teaching industry, Undip Vocational School with the collaborated party are strengthening competence and increasing competitiveness of students in the current era.
