Indonesia commemorates the Pancasila Sanctity Day every October 1st. The power of Pancasila is commemorated to remember the importance of Pancasila as the basis of the Indonesian state and to recall history in defending the nation’s ideology, including respect for the services of the Heroes of the Revolution. In commemoration of the Pancasila Sanctity Day, Diponegoro University held a ceremony at the Diponegoro University Stadium, Saturday (1/10).
“Defending Pancasila is by practicing the values contained in it. What can be done is to give great lessons to students, by instilling Pancasila values during lectures in inspiring and subtle ways accompanied by examples from our predecessors. In discussing everything, always do it through deliberation and consensus, be it in the election of Rector, Deans, and so on. Always prioritizing Undip’s interests above personal or group interests,” said the Rectos in his speech.
Prof. Yos also said that Undip would launch a free bus for students. This small step is a form of love in practicing the values of Pancasila. Undip also provides welfare services in the form of nutritious food for students.
“The efforts we have made contain messages to students that the values of Pancasila are full of compassion. Hopefully, with harmony and mutual love, as well as by upholding, developing, and practicing the values of Pancasila, Undip will be more advanced and the country will be safer and more prosperous,” he concluded.
