Semarang – Central Java (18/10). In the current era of digitalization, MSMEs must be able to take advantage of technological developments to increase their business productivity, both in terms of production and in terms of marketing. The current condition of MSMEs that still have limitations in the use of technology has resulted in many MSMEs being unable to compete with other business actors both from within and outside the country.
Like some of the problems that exist in MSMEs in Mangunharjo Village, one of which is that the community has not been able to utilize technology properly. Meanwhile entering the era of digitalization, people are expected to adapt to existing technology.
Dr. Ir. Suryanti, M. Pi. as the member of IDBU team explained, “MSMEs can create digital marketing strategies at low costs and generate potential customers with a wider reach”. Therefore, the IDBU community service team has mentoring programs such as education, registration of MSMEs through Google maps, creation of online stores, creation of digital payment systems (QRIS), and creation of digital food menus that are directly connected to the QR Code.
This service involves Undip students from various disciplines, namely the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering. Through the program that has been prepared, students carry out education related to how to use and manufacture digital payment instrument systems, register MSMEs via Google maps, and create digital food menus related to QR Code.
It is hoped that this program can increase public knowledge in business activities in the digitalization era and help reduce the crime ratio of theft, robbery and circulation of counterfeit money in the community.
This work program is carried out with education about the advantages of marketing MSMEs products in online stores in the form of marketing expansion, savings in marketing and transportation costs, then continued with account creation and coaching in the use of online stores.
The creation of an online store account as a follow-up to e-commerce education was carried out with the members of the Kopimi Outlet, Mangunharjo Village, Tugu District. The education program followed by uploading and completing the description of the product to be sold, and finally making arrangements for the delivery service to be used.
Based on the output of this program, it is hoped that education and coaching as well as the creation of an online store that is given to the members of the Kopimi Outlet, Mangunharjo Village, Tugu District, can be applied to the use of online stores as a medium to expand the marketing of MSMEs products which also has the possibility to increase sales and income.
