Supporting Karang Taruna Productivity, PSDKU UNDIP Batang Provided Angkringan Businesses

Batang – Lecturer in D-3 Public Relations Study Program, Rukti Rumekar, S.Hum., M.I.Kom supports youth productivity through angkringan business for Karang Taruna (youth organizations) in Tumbrep Village, Bandar District, Batang Regency, on Saturday (12/11/2022). Support for the angkringan business is one form of the Community Development and Empowerment Program (P3M) which is aimed at making the local community feel the benefits of the Study Program Outside the Main Campus (PSDKU) Diponegoro University (Undip) Batang Campus and is one way to increase the productivity of Karang Taruna.

In her statement, Rukti said that her party would provide a set of angkringan businesses to help local residents and she hoped that those who are interested can manage the business program. She is willing to send them to that location. “I offer this angkringan business to Karang Taruna who are interested and can handle this business,” she said.

In line with Rukti’s statement, Mustaqhfirin, a representative from Karang Taruna of Tumbrep Village also appreciated the existence of this angkringan business. According to him, this angkringan business can help local residents. “Thank you for the attention from Undip, we appreciate the support for this business and it is hoped that this business can be managed by Karang Taruna and the business location can be around the campus,” he said.

According to Dr. Drs. Retno Dwi Irianto, M.M., as a senior lecturer at PSDKU Undip Batang, the selection of the angkringan business was based on active offline learning at the Undip Batang Campus and this could become a new business opportunity for local youth if implemented.

Angkringan business is one type of business that has many fans. This is relevant here,” said Retno, who at this training gave a briefing address on behalf of the Head of the Study Program Management Institute outside the Main Campus (LPPSDKU), Dr. Redyanto Noor, M. Hum.

It is hoped that this angkringan business can improve the standard of living of the people of Tumbrep Village and its surroundings. The provision of a set of modern angkringan carts with Wi-Fi facilities was handed over to local youths to be managed. Later local residents who have a food business can join in selling their food at the angkringan.

The Community Development and Empowerment Program (P3M) was closed by symbolically handing over an angkringan cart that can be used by fellow Karang Taruna to start this angkringan business.
