In order to cultivate the values of Pancasila and commemorate the 66th Anniversary, the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Undip) held a Wayang Kulit (shadow puppet) Performance on Friday, (17/3), located on the front yard of the Satjipto Rahardjo Building, Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University.
In his remarks, the Rector of Diponegoro University Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. said that Pancasila is good and teaches affection. Pancasila must be followed and applied in daily life that must be interpreted with full appreciation.
“Pancasila will not go well if we do not interpret and run in our daily lives,” he said.
“The bullying is prohibited at Undip and we instill that affection is more important than the law. The best law is affection. If Gustav Radbruch speaks of justice, certainty, and benefits, we have the fourth pillar namely affection. Then Pancasila is the implementation of affection. We don’t scream the slogan, but rather on concrete action,” continued Prof. Yos.
Dean of the Faculty of Law Undip, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum. conveyed the purpose of this puppet show was to instill the culture of the values of Pancasila to the heart, especially the younger generation because they were the next generation of the nation.
“If the values of Pancasila are stuck in mind and heart and practiced by the next generation of the nation, it will be a way to save the nation. Later they can become leaders of the nation and that can be a good example. Through Wayang Kulit culture, hopefully we understand and truly instill Pancasila in our souls. In addition, the Faculty of Law has been accredited by FIBAA international and entered the top 10 ranks at the national level. Of course this is the pride of all of us,” said Prof. Retno.
Deputy Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency, Dr. Drs. Karjono, S.H., M.Hum. who was present at the event revealed that Pancasila is a beautiful ideology when carried out correctly.
“Let’s preserve Pancasila because Pancasila was founded by the Indonesian nation as a unifying means for the nation. Pancasila is truly extraordinary because it is a noble agreement of the nation,” concluded Dr. Karjono.
The Wayang Kulit performance was opened with the handover of the Wayang Dewi Sri figure by the Rector of Undip to Ki Dr. Ir. H. Warseno Hardjodarsono Slenk, M.Si. and performance of the play “Irawan Takon Bapa”. The main character of “Irawan Takon Bapa” Wayang Kulit Performance is “carangan”, or it can be called Sri Mulih which has the meaning of Sahyang Sri Kesejahteraan. The point is the Pancasila economy, so it is related to an independent economy, because basically Pancasila is a mutual cooperation. (Lin-Gabriela-As / Public Relations)
