Sakura Program, Collaborative Program between the Department of Civil Engineering UNDIP and Nihon University

In order to strengthen collaboration between universities, the Department of Civil Engineering, Diponegoro University (Undip) together with Nihon University has organized a collaborative program called the Sakura Program.

The Sakura Program is a collaborative program held on February 13-19, 2023 in order to share knowledge from various fields, demonstrate the latest technology, and respect local culture.

This program aims to exchange knowledge through universities and research sites that have been visited, respect local culture, and support the development of talented human resources. The program provides insights and demonstrations in various fields, especially civil engineering.

This program is organized by Nihon University with assistance from various local institutions. Knowledge sharing consists of theoretical lectures and practical demonstrations given by field experts from Nihon University, Miharu Dam, and the University of Tokyo. Activities related to knowledge sharing were carried out at Nihon University, Koriyama and the University of Tokyo, Tokyo.

The participants also visited Miharu Dam for a practical demonstration of the program’s aims. Participants in this event were lecturers, Masters students, and Bachelor students from Diponegoro University led by Dr.-Ing. Bobby Rio Indriyantho, S.T., M.T. In addition, program participants also receive a Program Participation Certificate.
