UNDIP Received the Predicate “Towards Informative”

Diponegoro University (Undip) received the title “Towards Informative” in Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Public Information Openness in 2023 by the Central Information Commission (KIP). The award was received by Undip Vice Rector for Communication and Business, Prof. Budi Setiyono, S. Sos., M. Pol., Admin., Ph.D. as Undip Main PPID at the Public Openness award ceremony held at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (20/12/2023).

Together with 13 other State Universities, Undip won the “Towards Informative” category. The predicate “Towards Informative” indicates the quality of public services is getting better by continuing to improve innovation that supports easy access to information services for the public.

In the monitoring and evaluation of public information disclosure, five predicates are starting: Not Informative, Not Informative, Quite Informative, Towards Informative, and Informative. Undip achieved the title “Towards Informative.”

Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Public Information Openness in 2023 aims to measure the compliance of Public Bodies in implementing public information disclosure, assess the consistency of Public Agencies in providing public information services, evaluate the implementation of public information service standards in Public Agencies, assess the category of compliance with information disclosure of Public Bodies, and provide input (feedback) on the implementation of public information disclosure to Public Bodies.

Implementation of the 2023 Public Information Openness Monitoring and Evaluation will begin in August 2023 and go through several stages. Starting with uploading documents, continuing with the presentation stage for those who meet the value standards, and the final stage, visitation.

Prof. Budi Setiyono is optimistic that Undip can win the “Informative” category next year. Prof. Budi Setiyono said, “Facing the current digital era, Undip has responded to technology by providing integrated services according to public needs. There is a Halo Undip live chat service that can be accessed directly by the public and in real-time. Mobile PPID is also available to respond to requests for information, aspirations and complaints. As well as other services that are beneficial to the public.” The increasingly informative and friendly appearance of the PPID Undip website makes it easier for the public to obtain the right to information needs.

“In fact, informative, fast, and digital-based public services are beneficial not only for society but also for public service providers,” concluded Prof. Budi. (Ut-Public Relations)
