The selection for the 2024 National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (ONMIPA) at the University level of Diponegoro University (Undip) was officially opened on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Acintya Prasada Building 6th Floor, Undip Campus, Tembalang. Faculty of Science and Mathematics is the host of the 2024 ONMIPA Undip Selection.
The 2024 ONMIPA Undip Selection was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Widowati, S.Si, M.Si.; ONMIPA PIC, Nurdin Bachtiar, S.Si., M.T.; Director of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Prof. Hanifa M. Denny, SKM, MPH, Ph.D.; Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau; Edy Surahmad, S.Pd., M.Si., Manager of the Student Affairs Section, Muhammad Muntafi’, S.Sos.; Supervisor of the Undip Student Interest Development Section, Wiwik Sulistyowati, S.E., M.Si.; Deputy Head of the 2024 ONMIPA Undip Jury Selection; Head of the 2024 ONMIPA Undip Student Activity Unit (UKM), Ari Aditya; Head of the 2024 ONMIPA Undip Executive Committee, Ahmad Maulana Julianto, and the participants of the 2024 ONMIPA Undip Selection.
This year, 218 participants registered for the 2024 ONMIPA Undip Selection. In his speech, Nurdin Bachtiar, S.Si., M.T., the ONMIPA PIC, reported that the participants are students from various faculties at Undip.
“On last Tuesday, 218 participants were registered, consisting of 61 from Mathematics, 77 from Biology, 33 from Physics, and 47 from Chemistry. The participants of this selection represent the faculties at Diponegoro University. They come from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, and Vocational School,” said Nurdin Bachtiar.
Prof. Dr. Widowati, S.Si, M.Si., as the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of Undip, officially opened the 2024 ONMIPA Undip Selection in her speech. Prof. Widowati hopes that the ONMIPA activities can broaden the student’s knowledge.
“This National Olympiad activity is hoped to broaden knowledge, especially in the learning process. Studying Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will certainly sharpen logical, analytical, creative, and innovative thinking so that Undip students are globally competitive, both nationally and internationally,” said Prof. Widowati.
Concluding the opening of the ONMIPA selection event, Prof. Hanifa M. Denny, SKM, MPH, Ph.D., gave her speech and advised all ONMIPA participants always to be enthusiastic and motivated.
“What you have been doing so far is something great because you will represent Diponegoro University. Your mission is to become champions and to have the motivation to give your best.
