Diponegoro University (UNDIP) collaborates with Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) Malaysia to strengthen collaboration in the field of international research. This cooperation is based on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and discussions with the Faculties of Economics and Business from both universities. The event took place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM at the Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP.
At the MoU signing event, UNDIP was represented by the Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.; Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D.; Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc.; and member of the Academic Senate, Prof. Dra. Indah Susilowati, M.Sc., Ph.D. From UNIRAZAK Malaysia, attendees included the Vice Chancellor of UNIRAZAK, YBhg. Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Samsinar Binti Md Sidin; Dean of Tun Razak Graduate School, Prof. Dr. Benjamin Chan Yin Fah; Senior Director of Marketing and Sales, Muhammad Asyraf Bin Samsuldin; Senior Executive of the Student Experience Department, Noor Ashikin Binti Kamir; and Senior Executive of Marketing and Sales, Faizah Binti Ahmad.
Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., Rector of UNDIP, stated that UNDIP opens up significant opportunities for collaborations that support UNDIP’s vision as an excellent research university. Beyond research, this cooperation will also facilitate student exchange programs at UNIRAZAK. “It is essential for our students to learn about business and accounting,” said Prof. Suharnomo.
Vice Chancellor of UNIRAZAK, YBhg. Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Samsinar Binti Md Sidin, expressed gratitude and pride in the collaboration between UNIRAZAK and UNDIP. “We can collaborate and learn from each other. Besides improving international quality, we can also establish research partnerships and accommodate student and staff mobility with joint projects in business and other fields,” said YBhg. Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Samsinar.
This collaboration focuses on business and education. UNIRAZAK is renowned in business and administration, and UNDIP is represented by faculty members from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNDIP. This collaboration is also expected to align joint steps in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. In practice, this research collaboration will also involve experts from the industrial sector with the aim of providing different approaches and achieving internationally standardized results.
The International Research Collaboration MoU between UNDIP and UNIRAZAK was signed by the rectors of the two universities, namely Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si. (Rector of UNDIP) and YBhg. Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Samsinar Binti Md Sidin (Vice Chancellor of UNIRAZAK).
To follow up on this MoU, UNDIP and UNIRAZAK held a discussion led by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UNDIP, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. The leaders of FEB UNDIP, the Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau of UNDIP, the Head and Deputy Head of UNDIP’s International Office, and representatives from UNIRAZAK attended this discussion.
Through this discussion, it is anticipated that the planned cooperation steps, spanning teaching and learning, research, and business, will yield mutual benefits, fostering growth and development for both UNDIP and UNIRAZAK. (Titis – Public Relations)
