MISSER TEAM of the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP Wins Award at ITEX: WYIE 2024

Happy news for Diponegoro University (UNDIP). The MISSER TEAM from the Faculty of Medicine at Diponegoro University (FK UNDIP) has achieved international achievement. At this year’s annual International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exhibition (ITEX): World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) 2024, the MISSER TEAM won prestigious awards, securing the Double Gold Award and the Grand Award Top 3 Best Innovation in this event.

The MISSER TEAM, consisting of six undergraduate medical students from the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP, presented two innovative works. These students are Aqsa Aufa Syauqi Sadana (Medicine 2021), Sineba Nafti Rizkite Barly (Medicine 2021), Yumni Rahadatul Aisyi (Medicine 2021), Lugas Firdinand Hamdi (Medicine 2021), Elmo Fahriza Albani (Medicine 2022), and Desvyn Harry Lebang (Medicine 2022), under the guidance of dr. Muflihatul Muniroh, M.Si.Med., Ph.D.

These two projects attracted significant attention from many visitors and media. Their ideas captivated the audience and received direct appreciation and praise from Academician Tan Sri Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr. Augustine S.H. Ong, President of MINDS, along with the delegation from MOSTI (Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation).

The Grand Award for Top 3 Best Innovation was personally presented by the President of MINDS during the Awards Presentation Ceremony, the highest honor at this prestigious event.

Undoubtedly, the MISSER TEAM of the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP has been advancing and excelling in innovation both nationally and internationally with its creative innovations. “We are proud and grateful to continue achieving on the international stage, bringing honor to our beloved alma mater,” said Aqsa Syauqi.

The innovative work presented by the MISSER TEAM of the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP has brought great honor to the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP and Indonesia and proved beneficial and inspirational for the younger generation. ITEX: WYIE 2024 was held at KLCC, Malaysia, from May 16-18, 2024, with participants from various countries such as Australia, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and several others.
